A State Plan Amendment effective July 1, 2017, allows all levels of certified Community Health Aides/Practitioners (CHA/Ps) to be reimbursed for services to Medicaid beneficiaries. In addition, CHWs are often included in Accountable Communities for Health (ACH). Kentucky does not reimburse for CHW services through its Medicaid program.
