Since 2014 (first under its “Dual Demo” demonstration and then later via D-SNP contracts), the state has enabled Medicaid MCOs to participate in value-based purchasing through its Integrated Care System Partnerships (ICSP) model. Adults may receive benefits along with curative care until they choose to receive hospice.
