On July 25, 2023, CMS posted QSO-23-02-ALL … EXPIRED EFFECTIVE: June 5, 2023.

The Staff Vaccination Requirements have expired for all providers:

  • Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facility Attachment A-Expired 6/5/2023
  • Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Hospice Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Hospital Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Home Health Agency (HHA) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Outpatient Physical Therapy (OPT) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Home Infusion Therapy (HIT) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • Rural Health Clinic/Federally Qualified Health Center (RHC/FQHC) Attachment Expired 6/5/2023
  • End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Facility Attachment Expired 6/5/2023

The only provider that does not specifically state that the staff vaccination requirements have required is:

Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IIDs) Attachment Revised (page 60 of the 163-page Memorandum).

I suspect that this is an inadvertent error – CMS just missed tagging it as expired for ICF/IIDs. You may want to check with your survey agency to be sure.
