The goal of the Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is to enable frail elders to stay in their communities for as long as safely possible by providing PACE members a comprehensive, integrated package of Medicare and Medicaid benefits. As a result, although all members must qualify for nursing home care to join the program 95 percent of all members live in the community.
Recognizing the potential benefits, states have begun to work to expand access to PACE and, in May 2021, NASHP convened the NASHP State PACE Action Network to support the work of five of these states: Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, and New Jersey.
This webinar highlights efforts in Massachusetts to improve its PACE enrollment process and Marylands approach to its process for selecting and onboarding new PACE organizations, including those in rural areas. Speakers from each state share information on their state activities, followed by a question and answer session.
