Home Health OASIS-E Guidance Training Program Reminder

Mary Madison, RN, RAC-CT, CDP
Clinical Consultant – Briggs Healthcare

As a reminder, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering a virtual training program that provides instruction on the guidance for the Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS)-E.  The event is being held on September 13th & 14th, 2022.

This training is part of a comprehensive strategy to ensure home health providers have access to the educational materials necessary to promote understanding and compliance with changes in reporting requirements associated with the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (QRP). These changes go into effect on January 1, 2023. A major focus of this training will be on the cross-setting implementation of the standardized patient assessment data elements being introduced in 2023 to ensure more consistent reporting and evaluation across post-acute care settings.
