NETEC has posted a great resource in the form of an infographic: The Chain of Infection and How to Use It to Prevent the Spread of Infection in LTC.

The 9 slides following the above initial slide expand on the 6 opportunities to break the chain to prevent the spread of infection.  This is a terrific teaching tool.  I encourage you to share it with your team and colleagues.

NETEC is the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training & Education Center.  NETEC comprises faculty and staff from Emory University, the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Nebraska Medicine, and NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. All work diligently to share their knowledge with health care, EMS, and public health personnel through consultations, education, and research.
