Health Policy News – December 2021

As we come to the end of the year, our December edition is—as usual—a reflection on the past year in health policy, as well as a glimpse into what we expect will be major health policy developments in 2022.

While the COVID-19 pandemic continued to dominate the health policy world in 2021, there were a number of other health policy developments, including those relative to policy resets by the new federal administration. The Health Policy News white paper released last month, “Looking Toward the Future: Health Policy Priorities and Actions in the First Year of the Biden Administration”, covered the approach of the new administration in detail.

This month’s consolidated article, Reflections on 2021 and Predictions for 2022, includes updates, reflections, and predictions on policy developments relative to COVID-19, Medicaid, and private insurance.
