“Don’t give up” is my message today to you! We are facing unprecedented world strife reigniting more than kindles of the Cold War, our loved #Twitter literally falling about from within, and increased attacks on – just about everyone not firmly rooted in a powerful push for groupthink. You KNOW what I am referring to. What’s the good news then you may ask? It seems an impossible task, but don’t give up.

Toughness and resilience are about not giving up, they’re about action, hope, and relying on friends, family, and community to get through these times. Just seeing the Ukrainian resistance fight valiantly against a tremendously larger Russian force shows what TOUGHNESS IS. Or maybe it’s our best and brightest scientists standing up to attacks, ad hominem and otherwise. Perhaps it’s about members of the LGBTQ+ community standing tall while fearing for their right to exist. Let’s bring that message to every now and future now.

Suffering in silence impacts us all, without a doubt.  Only by coming together and making community important can we make it through all of this.

Let’s find space for strength, resolve, communication, hope, and understanding.

Please join us on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 8:30pm Eastern as we discuss the following topics:

  • T1: We have all been impacted by recent events. What impacts of depression, stress, and fear have you seen? Examples?
  • T2: What can we do to provide hope, openness, support, and care for our community and those being harmed?
  • T3: Social media can be a good place to get support. What positive examples have you seen or been a part of?
  • T4: Share your views about what comes next for the current situation. What is your hope to see things resolve and then begin to pick up the pieces – human and otherwise?
