As policymakers look beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening partnerships with both communities and health system partners is critical to a modernized public health system that is robust, interconnected, and capable of promoting the health of all communities. Working in partnership with state health and human service agencies, public health leaders can play a critical role in bringing together health care delivery system, human and social service partners, and community leaders to drive informed collective action toward improved community health.
This provides an overview of NASHP’s new Public Health Modernization Toolkit: Strengthening Collaboration Between Public Health and the Health Care System. The webinar also features strategies from state leaders from Oregon and Michigan, who will share how their states are working to build public health partnerships at the state, local, and community level.
