Medicaid Palliative Care Benefits: Actuary Analysis and Request for Applications for NASHP’s State Institute to Improve Care for People with Serious Illness

The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) hosted this webinar to highlight the exciting opportunity for states to apply to NASHP’s new State Serious Illness Institute, through which states can receive technical assistance with public policies that improve care for people with serious illness. The webinar also features the newly published actuary analysis of a Medicaid palliative care benefit.

A philanthropy discusses its commitment to improving serious illness and end-of-life care; an actuary highlights important state findings and resources; a state leader offers insight on her state’s work to expand palliative care; and NASHP shares how state policymakers can build upon this work to expand access to palliative care in their states.

NASHP held this webinar with generous support from The John A. Hartford Foundation.
