An updated version of the PDPM Grouper has been posted on the MDS 3.0 Technical Information website. The new version number – V2.0003 – will be implemented into the MDS ASAP system on Friday February 4, 2022. This new version was repackaged to address a security vulnerability with the third party library Log4J. The library was upgraded to v2.17.1. This version also contains a correction to ensure the program works with the most recent versions of OpenJDK. No logic changes were made to the PDPM/SNF component itself to address these issues.
The updated version is a .zip file which contains a 7-page PDF entitled PDPM Grouper JAR Package V2.0003 Documentation. The document provides this Introductory Statement: “This is the 10th revision to the initial release of the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) Grouper software. This is an update to the release V2.0000 of the PDPM Grouper as a Java Archive (JAR) library with FY2022 ICD-10 codes. A list of previous DLL and JAR versions will be maintained in the Version History section of this document.”
