Free Seminar on Emergency Preparedness, Designed for Frontline Staff

Mary Madison, RN, RAC-CT, CDP
Clinical Consultant – Briggs Healthcare

NAHCA is excited to announce the launch of a new seminar focused on emergency preparedness!

Created in partnership with the Arizona Health Care Association, All Hands on Deck: A Frontline Focus on Emergency Preparedness in Long Term Care is a three-hour event that examines the following components of essential emergency preparedness:

  • Nursing Home Incident Command System
  • The Steps of Emergency Management
  • Emotional Resilience
  • Shelter in Place vs. Evacuation
  • Survey Compliance; and
  • Much More!

The COVID-19 pandemic made evident the essential role of frontline staff in a disaster scenario. The critical role that this incredible Careforce played in implementing emergency operations plans during the pandemic contributed significantly to the safety and well-being of all long term care residents.

It also became clear during the pandemic that many CNAs had not received any formal emergency preparedness training. With that in mind, this seminar was designed specifically for frontline staff. The training program is still in the “pilot” phase of implementation, and we truly value your insight and feedback as we move to create a final version.

Please join us for this exciting educational event and receive a certificate of completion for these training hours! Register here.
