I hope life – and work – are beginning to return to (nearer) normal for you in recent weeks, as the vaccine rollout efforts continue, and as we get the pandemic more under control.

Here at NAHQ, we feel a great responsibility to accelerate the awareness of the indispensable value of healthcare quality and safety competencies as we emerge from this global health crisis. And we are taking some interesting and creative steps to that end. Allow me to preview two emerging initiatives here …

First, NAHQ has partnered with HealthStream, one of the nation’s largest providers of online healthcare training, to offer a suite of programming in healthcare quality and safety to the millions of employees who work for one of the thousands of active HealthStream client organizations. NAHQ and HealthStream share a dedication to improving patient outcomes through the continued development of the workforce. HealthStream client organizations will have access to the following resources through their learning management system (LMS):

  • HQ Concepts: Introduction to Healthcare Quality and Safety for Frontline Staff
  • HQ Principles: Fundamentals for Healthcare Quality and Safety Professionals
  • CPHQ Online Review Course
  • CPHQ Comprehensive Pre-Test

All HealthStream client organizations will be invited to a kickoff informational webinar in late June to hear more details. If you work for an organization that is not a HealthStream client, NAHQ can still support you and your team with any or all of these resources. Email us anytime at TeamTraining@NAHQ.org for more details.

Second, NAHQ has partnered with Aggregage, a content aggregator, and together we will soon unveil a new healthcare quality news and thought leadership digest that will curate timely and relevant content from more than 100 authors and contributors. Aggregage uses machine intelligence, social media and audience-driven data to connect content to professionals, and they will be launching numerous healthcare-related digests in the months ahead. They view NAHQ as an ideal and credible collaborator given our focus on competency development, certification and in convening healthcare quality professionals.

NAHQ members and current CPHQs will be automatically enrolled as a benefit and will receive weekly email digests when it goes live later this summer. Non-members and non-CPHQs will be invited to sign up as well. There will be no charge to receive these digests, and you will be able to change your frequency of receipt and unsubscribe easily. Stay tuned for more details in the weeks ahead.

We know you are busy and hope you continue to find eNews as a great way to stay current on NAHQ and the broader healthcare quality landscape. Stay safe, and thank you for all you do to support improved patient outcomes.
